Owlsworth have been working with stone since the company’s inception.

 

Amongst our workforce we have stonemasons whose skills range from the repair and conservation of fine quality carved stonework through to vernacular coursed rubble.  In both instances we would employ the same level of care with techniques such as, carving, new stone indents, pinning, grouting and consolidation, plus the more familiar pointing and mortar repairs.  We have been working with lime mortars since the company was first formed and develop and mix our own recipes where we need to match or complement the existing historic mortars and stonework.
